I have ordered the movie from zip.ca (the Canadian equivalent of Netflix). The movie was mentioned on the commentary in London (not in Naples).

Thanks so much for your insights. I went on a Saturday morning and it was crowded. But I guess it's crowded every day! Now I'm regretting not getting the audioguide. I have yet to read the catalog (I'm still working on the T/W/M catalog right now.)

There's a possibility that I may be in London May 21-22: Should I go see it again? Sounds like it's not too difficult to get tickets (yet) according to 111op.

I didn't realize you went to see T/W/M also - I'm glad you liked it. Do you remember seeing Monet's painting there: Sunset on the Seine

BTW, 111op saw T/W/M already when he was in Paris in Jan.

Yes, the T/W/M was very interesting. I think that it will be finished by the time I make it to London on May 21.

I do want to spend some time in the National Gallery. My guide book for that museum dates from 1995/1996, I think. Periodically I flip through it. So I'll need to research it and see which masterpieces I should try to see.

I need to book my plane tickets though.

YES, I do think you should go again. In my first viewing, I was taken with the "whole story" of each canvas. During the second visit, I could focus on the details, in particular the facial expressions: There are so many different ways to interpret the expressions. Also, I really think you would enjoy the commentary.

Re the Monet: I honestly DON'T remember that one, which is odd, as it is a wonderful painting. I remember the one on page 135. Did I miss it or was it not shipped from Paris?

I may revisit the TWM again before it ends. It was like the Harrod's January sale the day I was there!

Regards Ger

I was quite sure that painting was at the exhibition, but when I went home and looked at the catalog, it indicated that the painting is not being shown in London, so now I'm not so sure. This is an unresolved debate between me & my boyfriend - so if you do go back to see T/W/M again, could you please make a note of it and let me know?
