Hi Sergio - You will normally find the best rental rates from local car-rental companies (- rather than the big ones such as Hertz, Avis ...)

Your hotel/B&B will be able to advise on local companies wherever you are staying ...

For train fares throughout the UK see:
www.thetrainline.com/

For bus fares (- long distance) see:
http://www.nationalexpress.com/

Hope this helps ...

Steve

If you can travel add odd times, you can get some bargain price train tickets via the above link.

What steve_james says (about renting from small local companies) is usually true if you are already in the UK and renting a car. But for an overseas visitor it is usually MUCH cheaper to pre-book a car through auroeurope (which is a broker that deals w/ different rental companies) or through the websites of international firms.

I've saved as much a 40% over rates that were available in the UK.
