car rental
any problem renting cars without notice. Can I just go up to a rent a car co.and get one?
I don't know if I need a car or not.

Are you coming from the US? I'm sure you could rent a car at a moment's notice if a car is available, but it's usually a lot cheaper to rent them in advance from the U.S.

Yes -coming for Naples Florida I love trains and have booked railtours .but I will need a car in Limerick for 2 days.

If you want an automatic in Ireland you need to rent FAR in advance - they never have any left. If you can drive a stick you may get one - depending on the location and time of day. Who knows what the rates will be?
