Car Parking for Venice

We are driving down to Venice from Switzerland in October and I am wondering where the best, and closest, place is to leave the car before getting the water taxi. Anyone got any tips?

Hi there is a multi storied parking garage at the main entrance to the waterways of Venice. Park your car there and walk across to the water busses, quite easy. Cannot remember the costs thoough.

Hi CH,

Parking at Piazzale Roma is about 20E/day.

Are you sure you need a water taxi?

We parked at the Tronchetto - a huge, easy to drive to, parking garage within walking distance of the vaporeto.
