Car hire from FCO to central Rome

Can anyone give me a good recommendation for a car service to get us from the airport to our hotel (Hotel Bernini Bristol)?
With 2 kids and lots of bags, we prefer not to take the train in.

My son and I traveled to Rome last year and upon arrival, there are many taxis that pull right up outside the airport to take you to your hotel. They have many different sizes, so it is very easy to find one to fit your needs.

In 2009, I took a car service from my hotel to the airport and was very pleased. Below is the contact information, I assume it's still valid. Gianni was great!

If you email Gianni, copy and paste that whole address. Clicking on it cuts off parts of it for some reason.

With 2 adults, 2 kids, & 4 large bags+carry ons, would a reserved car be priced the same as hailing a cab?

We used Rome Cabs - and I would definitely NOT recommend trying to drive in Rome. It's scary to watch, I can't imagine doing it. In fact, next month we are dropping our rental car at the airport and having Rome Cabs pick us up and drive us to our apartment!

You can reach Stefano through http://www.romecabs.com - email [email protected] - and I can also highly recommend him as a tour guide. We used him last time for a tour of Rome and this time we're going to Ostia Antica and Ceri

I believe the price I paid was lower than hailing a cab and there was no extra charge for bags.

Taxis will be set fee from the airport to your hotel. 40€ for four people including luggage. Make sure it's an official Comune Roma taxi. They've applied for an increase (45€ I think), but it hadn't been approved last I heard.

From the FCO website.
http://www.adr.it/web/aeroporti-di-r...-/pax-fco-taxi

You won't find a shuttle as cheap as a taxi unless you only have three people (Rome Shuttle is 35€ for 3) or you are willing to take a shared shuttle like Airport Shuttle which is a van/bus stopping at multiple hotels. A shared shuttle will take longer.

Traveling with kids and multiple pieces of luggage - there is nothing nicer than seeing the smiling face of your driver with a sign with your name on it! Just sayin...

I've used Rome Cabs four times. No problems, nice drivers, easy peasy.
