Hi Joanada; We stayed at the Villa Le Scale for two nights. People were wonderful. The room was elegant and the breakfast was very nice. If they know when you are coming when you arrive in Ana Capri, they are waiting to help with your luggage. Loved the Villa. ENJOY Iris

Hello
Thanks so much for letting me know. We will be staying for two nights also, but Oct. 29/30, so at least off season.
We were debating staying at the villa or Caesar Augustus.
I am not sure which we would be happier with. Staying at the villa, do they speak english and some guests also? I notice they don't serve dinner or room service, so have to think about that. Can you see the ocean at all from the villa? Is there much noise staying at villa, owners music or from the rooms into the evening? Thanks so much, it is just really hard and not to make the wrong choice. Do you have any pictures?
Much appreciated. Joanada

Hi Joanada; English is spoken very well. The lead person is from the States. We had a terrace, but the ocean view was very limited. They don't serve dinner, but they do serve drinks. There is enough restaurants in AnaCapri to make a choice. It is very quite, the villa being up a walking lane. Further up the lane is the Villa San Michele, home of the 'Axel Munthe Museum. If it's 'ocean view' you are looking for, the choice, without question, is the Caesar Augustus. Iris

Hello
Thanks for the information. The sea view is not all that important, I think the villa will be a lot more friendly and special, I am just waiting to hear back from them what rooms are available, then will probably book the villa. We can always go to C. Augusta to see the view and have a lunch there.
October is their low season, it is a lot cooler in the mid fifties. A lot of hotels shut down then and restaurants. This goes for the Amalfi coast also. The ferries run less times a day also. It is still high season Sept.
The rate is lower also in most of the hotels that are open. I have done extensive research in them and we are booked to go Oct. 22 for 2 weeks. A lot less crowded and more affordable rates in the better hotels, but you could get off weather or rainy.

I have found on the AC low season regarding hotel prices do not kick in this year until Oct 19th.
Capri - I was able to get a discounted rate in October but not on the AC. About 30% off.
Sept/Oct used to be considered the low season but I don't see that anymore based on prices.

Joanada, You will enjoy your stay at the Caesar Augustus. The views are outstanding and the grounds are nice. Our room was large and looked out over the water.
We only ate lunch one day at the hotel but it was to die for. I can still taste their eggplant parmigiana and its been 6 years since our visit.
Ah Italy!!!
