I almost booked with Ceasar Augustus on Capri for our honeymoon this past October, but we changed our minds. CA is located in Anacapri which is not the main town on Capri. We wanted to stay in Capri Town where the shops, restaurants, gardens, etc. were located. Therefore, we chose to stay at Casa Morgano(www.casamorgano.com). T

The hotel John G mentioned, the Grand Hotel Quisisana, is one of the nicest hotels on the island. And if money is no object, then go for it. It seemed kind of pretentious to me, with lots of older guests.

A third option is the La Scalinitella hotel, which I hear is also very romantic. You can link to all the hotel websites by visiting www.caprionline.com. Have a wonderful time in Capri! It was my favorite stop on our honeymoon.

No no no!Stayed at Quisisana years ago and on recent return tried Mammela=much better.
Not overpriced and stuffy. Run by a young brother and sis who's dad took an old hotel and refurbished it and it is lovely. Down the hill from Quisisana and shops, and low key and elegant with a pool and gorgeous view of the bay. Walking distance to everything. Check it out!
