Can I buy Swiss Pass in Switzerland?
This sounds like a silly question but I recall having to order a Eurailpass before leaving the US. Must the Swisspass be ordered in advance or can we buy it when we arrive in Zurich?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I think you can buy it there, but you may want to buy it in advance for convenience and possibly cost savings. I always contact the people at budgeteuropetravel.com--they know all the ins and outs of rail passes, figure out the most advantageous pass for your plans and your number of passengers, an Fed Ex the passes to you at minimal cost. And they can advise you on the pros and cons of buying the pass in Zurich too.

I agree with abbydog. The folks at BETS or budgeteuropetravel.com are quite helpful. They will not sell you something you don't need and will advise you wisely regarding which pass to get. I've done business with them twice and will contact them again in the future.

You can buy the Swiss Pass there. You'll need to show your passport to prove you are a foreigner and entitled to buy this pass.
Check the prices on sbb.ch (in francs) and compare to the price you would pay in dollars (the price from Rail Europe, BETS, and Rick Steves is all the same, and you pay shipping for these).
Also, be sure you want a Swiss pass and not another pass like a Half Fare card. Probably BETS could advise you on tht.
