Sarah! That ginger recipe sounds lovely..I do and Orange and Ginger one we really like and a sherry Walnut that is very good , but I'm going to try yours. Sorry folks, I use a pudding basin , a trivet and a BIG pot..no slow cookers for me!
I do however cheat and use Bird's custard instead of my grandmother's DIP recipe! And the only thing my DH knows how to "cook" is brandy hard sauce, so he's in charge of that.
FOr food forums... try Chez pym, delia online, patricia wells online, slowfood, bbc.co.uk,nigella lawson's site.. all good forums..sorry you'll have to google he webdresses

you all have been so kind...guess I should have addressed this to the Pudding populations of the world of course more than "anyone British".
Thanks again for all of your ideas, this was fun again...starting to look like a tradition for me to start a chat about puddings abroad.
Thanks again and a Happy Holidays to all!
