I have cousins in the town of San Mango D'Aquino (St. Thomas Aquinas). This is in provincia Catanzaro. In the past, when I've visited, I stayed in a real nice hotel close to the train station of ----Terme. As I remember, it was at the bottom of a hill before going up that mountain to get to San Mango. Sorry I don't remember the name. Real nice place.
