Burgundy B&B's or other accommodations

We are looking for fun B&B's, castles or other interesting accommodations in or near Dijon or Beaune for November when we visit Burgundy. We would like to keep it around $150 per night or less, including breakfast. Thanks. Appreciate in advance your help. We will have a car.
Try: http://www.vacations-abroad.com/

We stayed at: HOTEL CHATEAU DE LA BERCHERE which has 3-stars. I liked it.. it was very quiet and not done up. It's just outside Nuit-St-Georges which is a lovely town.

http://www.hotelswitch.com has a description of it and we got the room that was pictured. The rate shown on the website is about $124. I rang them directly and I think we paid less than that.

But there are heaps of choices in the country-side. E-mail me if you have any questions.

-brownie.

Chateau de Chorey-les-Beaune, just 3km outside of Beaune. Not far from an entrance to the Autoroute, for easy access; fabulous location for exploring the Cote d'Or grand cru area! The chateau has its own vineyards and produces the local appellation. Turrets and even a moat - wonderful breakfast, too. Check out
www.chateau-de-chorey-les-beaune.fr -- it's even better than the website suggests. Any questions, feel free to email me.

We too stayed at Hotel Chateau de la Berchere, just a couple of weeks ago. The staff were very nice. They gave us several restaurant recommendations, all of which were excellent.

Celia

In Beanne there is an excellent restaurant (right on the main square) called "Le Gourmandin" - a little known secret is that they rent rooms above the restaurant. There is a separate entrance to the "hotel part" for which you have your own key. The room we had was quite large, comfortable and quite nice. Also very clean. It looked out over the main square. Not fancy, but perfect. And....it was very innexpensive. Not to worry, you do not smell anything from the restaurant. I would also recommend at least one meal at the restaurant.

A big thumbs up for Chateau Chorey Les Beaune. Stayed there 2 years ago - it was great! And thanks to karen for the reco. A great restaurant in Beaune in Le Benetton. Small little place - had the prix fix which included a filet mignon on top of beef bourgenon (sp). Wow.

We visited this area a year ago and found a book, "Charming, Small Hotels in France," to be infallible in suggesting great, small hotels in small towns in this area. You can't go wrong!
