Best way from Bergamo to Tirano - Train? Bus Possible?
One option for our Switzerland itinerary would have us flying into Bergamo, arriving at 3pm. I would like to get to Tirano to pick up the Bernina Express, eventually ending in the Berner Oberland area. I know I can take the train, however, I'd like to know if a bus is possible? If so, which would be the quickest/easiest mode of transportation? Is there a website for bus schedules?

Hi travelfan1,
Within Switzerland, the busses do not duplicate the train routes, so if a train connections two places, the bus won't go there.
You can get all the transportation options at the Swiss rail site
www.rail.ch
If there is a connection, whether by rail, bus, or ferry, it will show up.
