Best Rooms In the Hotel Jeanne D'arc in paris
To all you Fodorites who have stayed at the Grand Hotel Jeanne d'Arc.
Would you mind telling us the best rooms in the house and the ones to avoid?
I hear there is a great variation in room sizes and quality in this much written about hotel.
About to stay there for the first time and any hints appreciated-
Thanks!!!

Are you staying in a double or single?
I've stayed at #21 and #31 (singles), and preferred #21. Why? Both have showers with curtains to separate the toilet area but #31 didn't have enough of a "rise" to keep from flooding the floor (no matter how hard you try).
I have stayed at a double for one night. I think it was #63 (not sure) the corner room farthest away from the top of the stairs...the Blue Room. The bathroom is huge!!! This one came with a bathtub.
I like this little hotel...the staff is friendly and I hope to return VERY soon!

Dear Craisin,
We are looking for the largest room for 2.. Room # 63 sounds interesting. Can you give more details? How was the noise levels.
I have attached a thread from the Fodors rant and raves about the jeanne D'arc with 2 room photos-are either of them familiar?
Thanks for your help!!! I hope you can get back there soon.We are trying it as the euro excange rate is so bad we are trying all the budget options we can -

lornamd,
I don't remember being bothered by the noise in this room. It may be because this room does not face the "street" side where there are restaurants nearby. BY the way, please note that the room number given may be wrong. I wrote it down somewhere, so I'll check back with you.
The link didn't work but I checked out the pictures. While none of the pictures look familiar (meaning: not any of the rooms I stayed in), the beds are exactly like that. Are you going in the summer? If so, I just read the fodors description and I guess it doesn't have AC, which may be a factor for you. I stayed there in the fall, so it wasn't a problem.
Check out this site for an idea of the room size for the double and a feel for the hotel:
