Benelux pass worth it?
We will be staying in Amsterdam 4 nights, then go on to Brussels for four nights, and then spend one night at the Hague before our early departure back home out of Amsterdam airport. Most of our time in Amsterdam will be spent in museums, taking a canal tour, bike tour and so on. When we get to Brussels, though, we expect to do daytrips at least to Antwerp and Bruges. Could anyone tell me if we should get a Benelux pass to cover our Amsterday-Brussels, Brussels-Bruge, Brussels-Antwerp, and Brussels-Hague legs of the trip. We're two adults and one 17 year old. As always, thank you.

You have to do the math to figure out which is a better deal. The local trains in Belgium (brussels to Antwerp and Bruges) are very cheap. There are 2 *extra* deals traveling in Belgium:
1) r/t tickets on weekends are 50% off weekday travel
http://www.b-rail.be/nat/E/tarifs/tickets/weekend/
2) the 10 journey RailPass, which can be used among people in the same group, for 73 euros.

Thanks, YK. Within the past five minutes, I just happened to see mention of the 10-journey pass in a review of the Hotel Welcome, but getting the most up-to-date pricing was problematic. I'm trying to find the price of point-to-point from Amsterdam to Brussels and Brussels to the Hague now. I'm not going to worry about the train to/from the airport.
Again, thanks so much for your care with the specifics.

Want to thank YK for giving me a lead in the right direction. I'm going to do point-to-point for the long routes and then do the 10-journey Railpass that will give the three of us three round trips for our day trips.
For anyone doing a search on this same topic, I ended up using the Netherlands railsite (I really LIKE this one): http://www.nshispeed.nl/en There I easily found that a point-to-point one-way (First-Class) from Amsterdam Central to Brussels Central would run around 166 Euros for the three of us, and then the trip from Brussels to the Hague would run around 132 Euros. Add in the 73 Euros for the Belgium 10-journey pass mentioned by YK and we're at 371 Euros.
By comparison---If I were to buy three first-class Benelux passes, we're at around 695 Euros. If I were to buy three second-class Benelux--two adults and one youth, that brings me to at least 376 Euros. And that's not including shipping.

yk--our posts crossed. I had a hard time finding fares on the Belgium site, so I would have taken you up on your offer in an instant. I could find train times easily, but I swear I couldn't find pricing.
They must have redone the Netherlands rail system website recently. It is gorgeous.

there is an Traveling Internationally tab on the Belgian Railway website:
http://www.b-rail.be/int/E/
I plugged in the Brussels-Den Haag trip for 1st class, and got the same price as you did. One thing I don't know is whether the 17 year old would qualify for any discount or not. BTW, the 10 journey railpass I mentioned is 73 euros for 2nd class, but 112 euros for 1st class. But the trips w/i Belgium are so short that I don't think 1st class is necessary.
