What Hotel would be nice in Rome
Hello everyone. it is me again Giovanna! Well my husband and I & 3 year old daughter will staying at a Pensoini for a few days that is near the Vaticano. Then the rest the time in rome would like to stay in a hotel in the heart of rome. that is near the Train station(s).
We would like to stay in a reasonable price hotel for 3 nights. We want a hotel that has a private bathroom that is in the room, not bathroom that you have to share with others in the hotel. and has anyone been to see the Holy stairs. Anyways thanks again for all of who help us out.

Instead of staying by the train station I suggest you stay in the Camp di Fiori,Pantheon,Piazza Navona area.It is a much nicer area than the train station area. The area around the train station is somewhat seedy.

try www.hoteljulia.it.
I stayed here in 2003. It was safe and clean. Breakfast included.
also, have you considered an apartment?
I prefer this over hotel as it makes you feel more native and less tourist. There is alot more room for your daughter to play.

I also recommend staying in the "true" heart of Rome, the area around the Pantheon/Piazza Navona. I have been to the Holy Stairs a couple of times, always during Holy Week. I'm not sure of the opening hours outside of that time frame. If you are going to climb the Stairs on your knees, you might want to first go into the bookstore on top of the Stairs (there are two side staircases you can walk up normally) and purchase a small book that has the prayers to be said on each Stair.
