Beautiful Photos - Wish They Were Mine!
I bookmarked this gal's photo album a long time ago and I check it periodically to see where she has been and she has some great new photos of Denmark, Stockholm, Paris & Portugal. http://www.pbase.com/annforcier/root&view=recent
One warning, you will get caught up in views so don't go there unless you have time to kill!!!

Isabel - your wonderful photos are very inspirational!
I am interested to know what type of camera and equipment you take with you on your travels to capture these great shots. I leave for Tuscany this week and am debating the number and types of lenses I should carry with me.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hi Belken and SallyJane - The photos were taken on many trips over the past five years or so and therefore several cameras. Most were taken with a Nikon 5700 which is essentially one step below a digital SLR. Doesn't have changable lenses but it does have a 35-280 (equivalent) zoom and I have a wide angle converter that screws onto the lens. It's 5mp and after three years was starting to have "technical difficulty" so I replaced it with a Konica A200, which is similar, and very nice to use but I don't think the quality is as good (only the photos from this summer - Portugal and Scandinavia - are with that camera. But I also have a Canon S410 "elph" (little point and shoot), 4mp, 3x zoom and it takes some really nice shots. It's especially good in very low light so the church interiors and like that are probably shot with the Canon. Anyway, I am about to buy a Canon Rebel XTi, the newest SLR. It's a little bigger than the Nikon and the Konica but not too much. I'm probably going to get a 28-200 zoom so I only have to worry about one lens. I'd been debating the value of an SLR (size, cost, etc - is it really worth it?) for a few years but then a few weeks ago I used one for a day and I'm hooked. Anyone want to buy a six month old Konica?

just came across this posting and took a peek at Isabel's shots of Barcelona where I will be heading in 6 weeks. What a wonderful prep for the trip. As it is late and work calls tomorrow, will save the other cities for another day.
Thank you for sharing.
