Beautiful Bellagio?

We will be in Lake Como (not actually in the lake) at the end of our gorgeous Italy trip.
I cannot decide between the Belvedere in Bellagio or the Grande Hotel Imperiale in Moltrasio. The price is not much different (Belvedere is more).
I was wondering if anyone has seen these two hotels and which one is preferred.

I don't hear much about Moltrasio - - you might want to take a look at the map on http://www.navigazionelaghi.it/itali...ndicecomo.html

There is service to/from Como on the Como-Pognana route; you'll have to go to Como to connect to the Como-Colico route to get to Bellagio, and it doesn't look very frequent to me.

There is one recent report on Moltrasio from bettyk.

Best wishes,

Rex

Thank you Rex, I can always depend on you to be helpful.
I think I am leaning towards the Belvedere.

No question--the Belvedere is great.
However, if you are driving, and have to get to Malpensa to depart, consider GH Menaggio on the west shore--lovely hotel and easier with a car.

And I am equally a fan of staying in Menaggio. I didn't throw it out to add a third choice for you to mull over.
