Beaune to CDG

Due to a family illness we've scaled down our vacation and are now planning to omit Paris and fly directly home from Beaune. We have a 12:15 pm flight from CDG -- do you think we would have enough time to get to the airport if we arrived by train in Paris at 9:38 am? Am I crazy and we'd be cutting it way too close? This would be on a Sunday.

Sorry to hear you have to cut short your trip. That is a bit tight because I have seen reports on the news about amazingly long lines and crowds at CDG. I suppose it is doable but I assume you cant take the risk of missing the flight and I would say there is some risk.

Why not take the train directly to the airport instead? There is a train that leaves Beaune at 6h46 arrives Dijon 7h21 then leave dijon at 7h46 arrive CDG terminal 2 at 9h36.

Thanks so much -- I think that will work out perfectly! I didn't realize we could take the train directly to the airport. We're thinking about renting a car (if we can drop it off that early) although I'm not sure if it would really save us any time.

Hi coll,

Sorry you have to skip Paris.

You can buy your train tickets online at http://www.voyages-sncf.com/dynamic/

Glad that works for you

I doubt if renting would save you that much time as from Dijon to the airport the train is a high speed bullet train. Plus you have to go through the hassle of car return. The TGV station is located within the terminal 2 itself so you just grab your bags and walk or take a shuttle to your exact terminal.

The train station has direct access to 2C , 2 D and 2 F by foot. 2 A and 2B are a bit further and you can either walk to them or take a shuttle bus.

Hi Morgan,

Well, blow me down.

SNCF won't do the Beaun to CDG. It claims that you have to change trains more than 3 times.

However, it will let you buy tickets for Beaun/Dijon and Dijon/AIRPORT CDG 2 TGV (95)

Ira, it worked for me when i checked it out.... The sncf site is VERY picky about the way that you put the station name in. The destination station should read AIRPORT CDG 2 TGV rather than AIRPORT CDG (95).

Hi morgan,

Yup. It worked this time.

I didn't leave a space between CDG and 2 the last time.
