Beaulieu sur Mer Mercure Hotel???

I just found a special promotion for the Mercure Hotel in Beaulieu sur Mer. Has anyone stayed tere or seen this place? We are wanting to visit the area for three nights, seeing Monaco, Villefranche, and Eze. Can anyone give me advice one way or another on this town or hotel? I am looking for a place that has a restaurant with room service because I have a young son. However, I would like to give the people traveling with me some other dinner options within walking distance of the hotel. Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the hotel but the town is lovely and well situated for exploring. Be sure to go to the Villa Kerylos, right along the water, a reconstruction of an ancient Greek villa. The villa has a cafe behind it where you can sit and gaze at the Mediterranean.

Isn't that a fantastic place?!? I loved it on our first trip to the area. Do you remember the name of another estate to visit advertised with Villa Kerylos? We didn't have a chance to visit it the first time around, but I'd like to see it this time, if I can only remember the name of it!

Hi, it's the Villa Euphrussi. I didn't have the time to see this as well, but it's definitely on the list for next time.

Can't comment on the Mercure, because we stayed at the Hotel Frisia, but we loved Beaulieu sur mer. We found it to be a great "base" for the area.

We stayed at the Frisia last weekend - excellent location and good value - 101 euros for double. Fantastic restaurant called Les Agaves well worth booking.

We stayed in Beaulieu at the Best Western Comte de Nice but went to the Mercure for their good buffet breakfast daily. It was a 2 for 1 special for hotel guests but we didn't change hotels because we liked our room at the Comte. We enjoyed breakfast on the loggia and in the garden of the Mercure [formerly called the Victoria]. It seems like a nice, medium priced hotel.
