Barge/Bus Tours in the Camargue?
Has anyone been on a tour of the Camargue area in Southern France? I have seen reference to barge tours, but have been unable to come up with a web site for more specific information.
We will be staying in Uzes for one week and intend on using public transport to get to Aigues-mortes and then hopefully be able to see a good cross section of this area ( in particular the flocks of flamingos, the white camargue ponies and the black bulls).
Any information or personal experiences would be a great help.
Thanks.

I've taken pack horse tours into the wild Camargue from Saintes-Marie-??; these are offered at several mas (ranches) - you ride these horses into the dusty wilds where you see the famous white Camargue wild ponies. Along the roads you'll see signs for these tours.

I haven't been on a tour, but I've visited Saintes Maries de la Mer using the regular bus service from Arles. There are boat trips from Saintes Maries - see ww.lesquatremaries.com and www.tiki3.fr.
The converted barge PESCALUNE offers trips from Aigues Mortes (www.pescalune-aiguesmortes.com).
