Barclays Bank branches in Madrid and Barcelona

heard that Bank of America "corresponds" with Barclays Bank and that fees will be lower if I withdraw money from one this bank's branches.

Do you know where they are located?

You can find all of Barclays Bank ATM locations throughout Spain on the following web page:

http://www.barclays.es/en_UK/general/localizador.html

I wouldn't be too confident that the ATM fees will be lower. I believe Bank of America's deal with Barclays only works in the UK. Per their website, there are no deals in Spain.

How funny - I just happened to be in B of A a couple hours ago & asked the same question since I am going to Spain next month.

Per the bank rep, he said there were no withdrawal fees at Barclays since they are partners. So I think you would be better off using Barclays rather than another bank in Spain to withdraw if you're a B of A customer.

However, I do take this with a grain of salt. I had to talk to several bank reps to get this info.... The first one told me "there are no B of A's in Europe but they do have ATM's in Europe - that's where you get your money". Duh, what a genius!
