Barcelona/Vienna/Budapest Trip Report

Barcelona: Not bad - the Hotel Arts is extremely overrated. Great taxi service. Other than that, I felt as though I didn't leave LA.

Vienna: Too proper and organized for my taste. The Marriott is in an excellent location for those considering this hotel.

Budapest: Reminded me of Turkey - organized chaos. If you're considering either Prague or Budapest - Go to Prague.

Best part of the trip - eating all together as a family, if you know what I mean business travelers. (priceless!)

To each his own, but I never would describe Vienaa and "too proper and organized". Very strange.

Doesn't sound like you enjoyed any of the places you visited.

Sounds like you managed to have a bad time in three terrific cities. Were the cities you visited your choice, or someone else's?

I haven't been to Prague, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend Budapest. If starts to feel chaotic, one can always unwind in one of the many thermal baths...

Great trip report! Thank you for taking the trouble to write it.

I seem to have missed the point of all three cities, as I came away with quite different impressions of them. I'll know better in future.

Found Budapet to be a very cosmopolitan city - guess organized chaos is the way a big city with lots to discover could be described.

I have a deal for you: I'll take your next trip for you, and you can stay home in LA. I'll even write a glowing trip report when I get back.

No need to lie about Prague, it's a great city with tremendous sites.

I also love Budapest and the mineral baths there.
