Barcelona ..Priceline.com worth the risk?
I have never used them...I'm tempted to try since I'm having trouble finding a good deal. Has anyone used them for this city and had good results?

I recently used priceline.com for hotel booking in Rome and was very pleased.<BR>Received a 4* for less than the price of a 2-3 *. No problems at all, hotel was wonderful!

Is this for flight or hotel? You should check out biddingfortravel.com for reports there, I've read there that the hotels that come up for Barcelona are sometimes not really centrally located, but check it out.

Sorry it is for hotel. 4 nights 2nd week of November. I'm curious to try them out. They ask if you want Central barcelona or West. From the map I have..Central is what I want..right?

the part of barcelona they call 'central' is not all that central.

There's a website called Bancotel.com that has many listings in Spain and people who have used them in Fodors (I haven't yet, but plan to on my next trip) have been happy with them.

Hotels in Barcelona are pretty cheap. I booked, and subsequently had to cancel because of illness, a four-star hotel for less than $150 a night. I've heard 2- and 3-star hotels going for $60 a night.<BR><BR>You're not going to get huge savings, so it's not really worth it this time.
