Barcelona Itinerary

My cousin and I will be in Barcelona for 6 days (split between two weekends). In between we will be in Ibiza for 4 days, which will probably drain us of most of our energy before our second weekend. Below is my proposed itinerary; I'd love some feedback and tips from any of you Barcelona veterans out there.

Day 1, Friday (arrive in the morning)- Walk Las Ramblas and Barri Gotic, stop by some cafes/tapas bars. Visit Casa Batllo and La Perdera.

Day 2, Saturday- Visit Parc Guell and La Sagrada Familia, explore La Eixample.

Day 3, Sunday- Day trip to Figueras to see the Dali Museum. Return by 6pm for tapas and drinks (must be at a venue where we can watch the US Open Tennis Final).

Day 4, Monday (flight to Ibiza at 5pm)- Go to Montjuic, walk along coastline.

Day 4.5 Friday (return from Ibiza in the evening)- Tapas and drinks

Day 5, Saturday- La Barceloneta Beach or Monserrat.

Day 6, Sunday- FC Barcelona futbol match and some shopping.

Would love any tips for good restaurants (especially tapas) and bars. We're both young, single guys, so we'll want to experience the social scene, as well as do some sightseeing and take in the culture.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions

On Day 2, I'd head to La Sagrada Familia first thing in the morning; otherwise you'll end up waiting in line to get in. Spend your afternoon at Parc Guell and stay until closing time. The light is beautiful in late afternoon/early evening.

I highly recommend purchasing tickets & audio guides for Casa Batllo & La Pedrera. Some people only view the buildings from the outside and don't tour the inside & I think that's a mistake. We loved the interior of Casa Batllo, (more interesting than La Pedrera), but La Pedrera is worth going inside, too, especially to see the amazing rooftop.

Also, if you have the time, I suggest exploring the neighborhoods of either Gracia, Sarria or Pedrables. Here you will find small squares, cafes, families with their children, school children walking home, etc.

A highlight for us was the main market on the ramblas. Lunch at http://www.boqueria.info/ixochi and El Quim inside the market. http://www.barcelona.com/barcelona_c...celona_markets

Hi, I live in Barcelona, let see if I can give you some advices )
Must be very carefull with thiefs on la Rambla, there is so many stolen every day, around teh la rambla is nice restaurant, dont have name right now, good price, good food & local people are eating there.

Day 2, Saturday- Visit Parc Guell and La Sagrada Familia, explore La Eixample.
great choice! to get to parc guell you can take a bus from city center, Sagrada is in the city center & always are lines, you can try to buy ticket by bank´s machines!

Day 4, Monday (flight to Ibiza at 5pm)- Go to Montjuic, walk along coastline. On the weekends there ara Magic Fountains, really great water show, highly recommend you! Then you have Castle on the top & nice view, also some museums.

Day 5, Saturday- La Barceloneta Beach or Monserrat.
I recommend you Montserrat, there is Black Madonna & really great mountains, you can do trekking or get crazy train!)

I guess you woudl like to have some disco advices too, there are few, on the beach (mainly goes tourists, then in the city center mosty local people, but there are some on Tibidabo with wonderfull view!Usually it costs you 15 euro, depending on day & disco there are also free entrance posibilities.
well..if I can help with anything else you can write me [email protected] Cheers! Eva!
