Bali Bombings Again!

Looks like Bali has again been rocked by bombings. Different reports as to how many. Seems like one blast in Kuta and one in Jimbaran. Sadly death count is up to nine. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/

What a shame. Another blow to the travel industry. Don't these terrorists realise that they are just hurting ordinary Indonesians trying to earn a living?

The news is now saying that 24 people have been killed and 95 people are injured. I agree with your TG. What a needless tragedy.

Isn't that why they do it?

It's so very sad. To have no regard for human life--it's terrible.

Of course this is very sad, but how soon we forget. It has been nearly 3 years (on October 12) since 200+ were killed in a Bali bombing. 200+ more were injured. The targets were tourists, not "ordinary Indonesians trying to earn a living". About one-third of victims fell into that category, but the bulk were Australian holiday-goers.

Want to see some other really sad stats? (and these, if you look at them, actually have some tangent to Europe).

I am sure most of us remember the people that were killed in Bali 3 years ago.

When tourist are killed usually the number of tourist that travel to that place is reduced. And consequently I would imagine that the residents that work in the travel industry lose their jobs.

I am sickened by people that do random killings...wonder what "higher authority" they think they are representing..

Nimrod, thanks for reminding us of the losses coalition forces have had fighting terrorists in Iraqi.

Got a 6 a.m phone call from my son, who lives in Bali 5 months out of the year, that he was ok. Was glad I heard from him before I knew about the bombings. He was there 3 years ago also. Very frustrating for him. They have certainly succeeded in terrorizing me.
