I stayed at the Attalos Hotel last September and highly recommend it. The location is good. Very near the metro station of Monastirion. The staff was courteous and helpful. Our room was large with a huge private balcony and a view of the Acropolis. On the top floor of the hotel is a cozy rooftop terrace with incredible view of Athens. Good prices, too. Giant beer for good value. I would stay there again and I hope I have the opportunity to do so in the future. Have fun.

I stayed at the Attalos last August and plan to stay there again this year. It's not a fancy hotel but the location is good and it's by far the best value I've found in Athens.

Attalos is clean and modest in room size and has the right price. Location is not bad too. The hotel to avoid in Athens in Jason Inn -- bugs in bed!!! Was so happy to check out the next day that Attalos seems like a haven.

My husband and I stayed at the Attalos in 2000 as stated above the rooms were nice and clean but nothing fancy. We asked for, and got a room with a view of the acropolis for our first night. Furthermore, when I became ill on a day we were supposed to leave, the clerk at the attalos, though they were booked, called every hotel in Greece to get me an inexpensive, clean and nice hotel to stay in for couple of days and offered to call a doctor for me. All in all despite getting sick (stomach flu..nothing I ate at the hotel).. it was a wonderful hotel and I would go back there.
