I am still working on our June trip to Italy. I am thinking that we may first go to Greece and end up in Italy. I can get a decent fare into Athens and out of Rome, but am wondering if there are inexpensive intra-European airlines that fly Athens to Rome. Does anyone have experience with this? Thx!

We used Aeagean Air to fly from Rome to Ahtens in 2004, and I think it was about $70 per person.

I am planning a trip to Greece in late June; may I digress from your question a bit to ask what airline you are flying into Athens/out of Rome on? Is it out of SFO?

I am searching for fares from several West coast airports including SFO and am getting freaked by the high fares (I usually travel in May-mid June, so am having summer sticker shock). I'm curious what you found so far!

I have used whichbudget before and found it very helpful. My plan at this point is to keep looking for inter-european fares on sites like whichbudget (and have seen some encouraging fares!)but if you've found any decent fares from SFO to possible European connecting cities, please share!

There is\was a 99e flight from athens
Olympic air. I was considering doing it but ended up on ship which will dock in Naples so I will go on by train.
I could only find one flight a day in am.
