Aran Knitting

Could someone help me out with a pattern for Aran knitted ladies mittens. I have not been able to find one and would love to make a pair for my daughter. Any other suggestions about Aran knitting or yarn would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Welcome to Fodors. This is a travel site. Maybe you should join/ask on a knitting forum . . . like

http://www.knittingparadise.com
http://www.knittinghelp.com/forum/
http://www.knittingforums.org.uk

. . . or hundreds of others.

Now, if you have a question about the Aran Islands (or Arran for that matter) . . .

Try ravelry.com - a huge forum for people who knit and crochet. There is also a huge database of patterns (both free and ones you can buy).

Aransweatermarket.com/knitting. They sell patterns and yarn. I found a lady in Inishmore that sold me baby items she knit. It is good there is an interest in knitting again.
