Net abbreviations?

Is there a site that lists the abbreviations used in net-talk? Nothing elaborate. Just stuff like DH (husband?), DD (daughter?), etc. I'd love to be able to talk more concisely. Thx.

This one is quite a useful site:
http://www.gaarde.org/acronyms/

It has the two you refer to anyway. I hope it's obvious in most contexts which DH is being used as there seem to be a few other options for that one.

Donna - In case you ask to you can use that jargon: Since this is a travel forum, and not a computer nerd (altho I "are" one!) forum, I think writing in "real" English, rather than "net-speak" keeps the topics more understandable, and prevents new non-travel threads (eg: "What does DH mean?").

rb_trav: Good point. I just noticed that "everyone else" seemed to be using acronyms. Also, I am usually so long-winded, I figure people will be more likely to read my posts if they are shorter.

LOL...In context, when I was a newbie, I thought maybe DH stood for dead husband Then I looked it up... Some acronyms are more cryptic than others.

tpatricco: The website that bigdog50 listed says that DH is an acronym for "dung heap".
