Canada--
When in June are you going? Have you bought your air tix yet? Can I be nosey and ask how much it was? I'm still looking cause from here in the midwest, it's still really pricey. Since you're in canada though it may be better.

seafox, definitely give some feedback on the apartment. We stayed in the 3 bedroom just one floor above yours last year and LOVED it.

Have fun!

Oh wow, I mis-read your posting, seafox - I thought you were staying in the 2 bedroom this time, but I guess you already did. You will be overjoyed with the three bedroom. It is amazing.

There are three large french doors in the living room, and because they're lower to the floor they let in lots of light. The first floor bedroom has a sort of vestibule between the living room and the bedroom, so even those sleeping in that room don't hear any noise from the kitchen/living room. there's even a small powder bath, so everyone has a private en suite bath. (You can see it all on the floor plan). We also loved the fact that each room had a TV, in addition to the one in the living room.

We stayed with our 5 children/spouses last June, and already have re-booked for a year from December!

Wow, have a great time!

We are booked in starting June 6th. Haven't bought the tickets yet - last year I 'tracked' the prices and found they dipped a bit starting in Nov, so was planning to buy in Jan ish. Our budget is $4K Cdn for 2 adults and 2 children (we're all tall, and don't want to fly charter Last year in my obsessive tracking, I got as low as $3200 for the 4 on Air Canada (i.e. if I had been prepared to 'click here to buy now') Zoom airways was cheaper, but only flew on certain days, so wasn't a good option. Flight cost is something we are 'tourist class' on (don't want to pay any more then we HAVE to, but don't want to suffer for that decision!).

Seafox--
So other than 40 rue chapon being smaller was it still okay as far as location and other amenities? It looks really cute.

Having been to Paris many times, the only place to stay is I'le Saint Louis(convenient to walk easily to most places). "France for Rent" is an outstanding service. Pat was a very efficient agent, and we would not look elswhere.

littlefox - 40 Chapon is fine but as I said samll. It is on two floors with a narrow semispiral staircase going up. I'm not sure of the measurements, perhaps a 10 X 10 living room below and same bedroom above. The LR has a sofa, chair, coffee table and TV, and the BR is basically a bed and armoire. There is a small well equpied kitchen and a small bathroom. Challenges ... hmmm. I never got the video player to work, you have to step up into the tub/shower...and no dinner parties for 4 ..... so not a bad deal....Good location and good price.....I would say the interior staircase may be a deterent to an older traveller....

Thanks seafox for responding back to me. I did get an email back from rentparis and they let me know that it is 30m so I figured that it's about 350 sq feet, so not bad.

I should mention also that the smaller one bedroom (#20 Chapon)is on the buildings interior with windows that open to a small Courtyard / light shaft. The larger aprtment opens to the street. Good news is the smaller one is very quiet.

Hi Seafox. I think you meant to say the smaller one was 40 rue Chapon, not 20.

Littlehouse, I stayed at 20 rue Chapon, that was a very nice apartment if you want something a little larger.
