Anyone stay in a suite at Post Hotel, Mittenwald?

Has anyone stayed in a suite at the Post Hotel in Mittenwald, Germany. I want to know the difference between a one-bed room and the suite. The website doesn't describe a suite at all.

This may expose my ignorance of European customs, but does "suite" in Germany or Europe have any meaning different than a suite in the US?

Hi sevendown: Could the suite be "ensuite" which I believe means that there are shower/bath & toliette facilities "in" your room and not shared or located down the hall. Just a thought.

Sorry sevendown, it's just me again. I looked at the website after I replied to your post and I see the difference in price, maybe you could email the Hotel and ask the difference. It looks very nice doesn't it? Have you been to Mittenwald before? It's a lovely small town, very picturesque. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks Suspaul. As you noted, there are definitely two different rooms at the hotel -- 1) a one-bed room, and 2) a suite.

I have in fact emailed the hotel asking for availability of both, and if they have both available, I will ask the difference. But I was wondering if anyone had ever stayed there, and if in Europe the word "suite" has any definite special meaning (it can mean mostly anything in the US).

No, I have never been to Mittenwald. I have two nights in that area, and after considering all the other nearby cities it seems to come out on top.

Hi S,

Same as in the US.

It could mean anything from an ensuite WC to a 3 room complex.
