Anyone have a hotel search website for Paris that is better than Venere.com

I have used Venere.com in Italy and it was great there, but it just seems like too few Parisian hotels give booking rights to them.

I am wondering if there is another website like venere that people use to book through.

parisby.com although I have found the quotes on there sometimes higher than on the hotels actual website.

I too like to use tripadvisor's quick check for hotels anywhere! I check the prices there then look up he otel's website and check there and then call then direct and pick the best price!

Sarah, are you browsing, or booking?
I find it good to book directly with a hotel via their website, email, or fax, and that way I establish a relationship as THEIR customer. Almost always a hotel will match any discounted rate found elsewhere.

I've found this site to have a lot of hotels and very good rates. (I've used it for reservations in Germany and Amsterdam).

The ones that Isabel names are the main ones I search, also (123france, parishotels and france-guide). Exclusive Hotels has a web site, also, and a good selection of hotels in their marketing group. I thought Venere actually had more Parisian hotels than I had expected, however, although I don't think their prices are that great.

www.activehotels.com

They offer many hotels in Paris, and offer good discounted rates. Also, and I find this a big plus, you don't have to pay until you check out, and there is a 48 hour cancellation policy (easily done online). So if you find a better option, booking with activehotels doesn't cost you anything.
