Anyone been to Dingle Town, Ireland, during the May Festival?

Dingle's 2006 Feile na Bealtaine Festival is May 1-8, and my cousin and I will be in Dingle May 2-3. I've checked the website for the festival, and it looks like we'll have a chance to hear some great music, but will the town and/or the peninsula be extremely crowded? I've sent a few B&B enquiries, but if there's going to be large crowds, I think we'd prefer to stay outside of town.

If anyone's been, or will be there this year, I'd love to hear your comments!

There will always be a crowd in Dingle if there is a festival on, but that adds to the atmosphere,Dingle is always full of tourists, so just enjoy it and soak up the craic

Thanks, lucielou! I'm happy that our trips happens to coincide with the festival. There'll be plenty of great music and people!

We were in France during a bullfighting festival. It was incredibly fun. It is great to mingle with all the locals out having a great time and the food and drinks will be flowing.

We are going to try to plan our future trips around festivals.

It would be amazing to see the Chieftains play! I'm sure you're right about tickets being difficult to get, but I'll look into it. Thanks for the link!
