Any one knows any cheap (and nice) B&B in Paris or surrounding areas?
My friend and I want to go to Paris for a couple days, mostly to sightsee. So we are looking for somewhere ( A B&B or hostel)that is simple and clean AND CHEAP (driving factor) to rest our heads. Any suggestions?

Pablo, how cheap? I know a place in central Paris that you can stay at for approximately $86/night for a double (Hotel Degres de Notre Dame).

I know of another place that's dead cheap but you usually have to book way far in advance to stay there (Esmeralda in the 5th).

Do a search on the 2 I've mentioned to get a feel of what they're like. Also, you can try a search for "cheap hotels Paris" to see what you come up with.

Please let us know what ranges you're looking at and we can help you further. So many of us have so many different resources at our disposal and we'd be happy to help you!

Bonne chance! : )

try this:
http://www.pension-marronniers.com/
It's a true B&B with half board, and I have friends who swear by it. It's also pretty inexpensive, I think.
We're booked into this place:
http://www.specialplacestostay.com/search/display.lasso?-database=sawdays_online&-layout=main&fileid==FBB2014&-search
which is another B&B, 76 E for two, in the 5th.
Good luck.
Sandy

Mary,

I have been looking for a web site for days for Hotel Degres de Notre Dame. Came up with nothing except a fax number--which I may just use. www.tripadvisor.com had a little blurb on it, but that was it.
Do you know their website? None of the reservation services listed it either.

geiffel,

Never saw your question for me until now - sorry. Hope you're still around to see my reply!! : )

There are only 3 websites that I know of but none have a direct link to the hotel itself. As far as I know, one can only contact the hotel via phone or fax.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/travel/features/parishotels041899.htm
WASHINGTON POST REVIEW FROM APRIL 1999

http://www.bltproductions.com/paristrip/
SHOWS A PICTURE OF THE HOTEL (ALAS, NO PICS OF BEDROOMS).

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187147-d239649-Reviews-Les_Degres_de_Notre_Dame-Paris_Ile_de_France.html
THIS IS THE ONE YOU MENTIONED - I'VE POSTED ABOUT IT HERE SO MANY TIMES, I THOUGHT I'D CONSOLIDATE MY POSTS & PUT HERE.

Did you get to Paris?
