Any feedback on these two hotels in Madrid?
Just starting some research on a 3 night stay in Madrid in May. These two hotels look interesting-De Las Letras Hotel or the Petit Palace Art Gallery.

Ekscrunchy, thanks for response. I just read your trip report and enjoyed all the details, especially about the good eating. We are going to San Sebastian after Madrid and really looking forward to that culinary adventure.
I think Salamanca area sounds good. I like the modern interior design (combined with classic architecture) of both these hotels. Do you have any recommendations for hotels?

Have you checked Maribel's Madrid Hotel Guide? She recommends several moderately priced hotels in the Salamanca district, as well as a few of the more expensive options. She also recommends the Hotel de las Letras in Old Madrid as a good moderately priced option.
