Amsterdam Tram
Is it difficult to ride the tram with two 28" rolling luggage. I am arriving via ship. What would be the tram stop for the Marriott Hotel on Stadhouderskade 12

You'll have no problems taking this on, but at rush hours they can be crowded so time of day may matter.
One tram's terminus is right in front of the cruise ship terminal so it's unlikely to be full there but i can't recall where it goes - it may go right to your hotel or you may have to change once.
Buy a Stripkaart in the cruise terminal or from the driver as possible as it will be much cheaper than buying single tickets - strip cards give you so many rides, depending on the number of strips you buy and can be shared by others. If riding trams more than a few times will save you money and bother of having to buy tickets.

Tram 1, 2 or 5 from Central Station to the stop after Leidseplein should drop you just across the road from the Marriott. But the trams can get crowded, and I'm not sure that all lines have the latest model tram with more or less level access. Even if it's not crowded when you get on, it might well fill up, depending on the time of day, and two suitcases might well make you a bit unpopular.
I'd be inclined to get a taxi - I don't know how far away your ship terminal would be from the Central Station.

new cruise ship terminal is about 1/4 miles east of Centraal Station. Try to find the number of the tram that terminated and starts at the ship terminal and see where it goes - may go close to hotel or you can transfer someplace.

Looking at the map, there's a tiny ship symbol near a detour on line 25, so that must be the cruise terminal. That would take you to Central Station, where you just walk in the same direction as the tram to the stops for lines 1, 2 and 5 on the other side of the station.
Two strips on your strip card cover one zone for one hour - and will certainly cover the tram ride to the Marriott if it doesn't look too inconvenient.
