You are going to the actual town of Amalfi? I guess so, but wanted to clarify.

What's your budget?

A lot of travelers stay in Positano, Praiano and Ravello rather than Amalfi.

If you do a search here for Amalfi Hotels you will probably find more recs for the other towns mentioned. But there may be something for Amalfi itself.

Do post your budget and you will get more useful information.

Hello!
We are open for any suggestions, as of right now we dont have any hotel reservations. Our budget is around $350 American per night.
Any ideas would be greatly appriciated!
One thing we do want is an incredible view!
Thanks!

This hotel is lovely and a half mile from the center of Amalfi. Hotel Santa Caterina.

Hi T,

>Our budget is around $350 American per night.<

Is that for two rooms or a triple?

We had two adjoining rooms for our family at Villa Rosa (small family run hotel). We loved it. It was very clean with charm and great views. Please be aware that there are many many stairs and no elevator at this hotel and others.

Villa Rosa is across the street from the Sireneuse (five star hotel in Positano). Have dinner in their candlelit dining room. It was magical.

How cheerfully does your husband's mother handle stairs and steep hills? Ravello is flat. Positano is steep. Amalfi is somewhat in between, but still with a lot of stairs and inclines.
