Amalfi Coast to Venice to Rome

What's the best way to get from Positano to Venice, stay overnight in Venice, and then head from Venice to Rome?

Hi DT - You can fly from Naples to Venice - or alternatively go by train from Naples (- or Salerno). Overnight train would also be an option on this route.

Airlines flying the Naples-Venice route include Meridiana, Alitalia/Air One and Easyjet.

For rail info go to:
www.trenitalia.it/en/index.html

Venice-Rome is normally best by train.

Hope this helps ...

Hi dt,

It is not something I would recommend doing.

However, SJ has good advice.

PS,

Have you considered flying into Venice for 2 nights, taking the train to Rome, training to the AC and flying out of Naples?

Much as I love Venice, it's not worth it for just 1 night. Too much travel time.
