Alba/Asti/Barolo Accommodations
Greetings:
My wife and I are taking a belated honeymoon to Italy in mid-October. We plan to be in and around Alba/Asti/Barolo. We have a booking for Le Viole in Barolo. Does anyone have an opinion of this place? If not, does anyone have a recommendation for a quality hotel, B&B or farm accommodation for this area in the 50 - 70 euros range?
Thanks for the tips. tony

I didn't stay at Le Viole in Barolo, but we visited and it is a great little town. One of our best meals was in Alba, in October durning truffle season, at Osteria dell'Arco, right off the main piazza. We also loved the town of La Morra, and the restaurant up on the hill with fabulous views and food, Belvedere... I can smell the truffles just thinking about it...have a great honeymoon.

We enjoyed our stay at Agriturismo Erbaluna outside of LA Morra. Great hosts (they gave us a tour of their winery and made dinner reservations for us) balconies with views of Barolo .

We had a fabulous meal at Bel Site also in La Morra.
