Airport meeting place - Athens

I will be meeting 2 people in the Athens airport. We are in the same study abroad program, but have not met before. We are all coming in on different flights about 40 mins. apart. Can anyone that has been to the Athens airport recommend a central place for us to meet that could not be confused? We won't have cell phones, so it is really important for us to not mess up the meeting place.
Thanks in advance!

If you all plan to take the Metro or bus into Athens together then you can meet in front of the Metro building or at the bus stop in front of the main departure hall.

You can also use this map of the airport to choose a spot to meet inside the airport: http://www.aia.gr/EN/passenger_infor...l_maps/map.htm

Choose an airline and meet at their check in counter.

McDonalds will do, or the small museum on the second floor. The airport is small and easily navigated. You would be hard pressed to miss each other.

it is not a large airport, but do be prepared for plan "b", in case one of the flights is extremely late.. what will you all do?
make a decision how long either will wait, and then your final meeting place later on in case this happens.

i would not meet at a busstop.. i would always look for a place to be able to sit down .. if possible. no matter how little you enjoy mc donalds..sounds logical and easy to me.

and i wouldn't doubt they have the cheapest coffee in athens.
