AirFrance, web site issues and advice

I find it interesting that I cannot book a flight from Marsaille to Paris on the USA website. I can if I say my country is France. Its only 62E's...and a flight seems to run every hour. Straight through, 1 hour and 20 minutes to Orly. But, am I safe to use the French site? (Why do they ask if 2 tickets "are we a couple?)
Kayak.com offers me the same flights.
I humbly ask, which would you use?

If it is an e-ticket, especially, I would use whatever site delivers the best value.

Could you buy it on the www.opodo.co.uk or expedia.co.uk website(s)?

Best wishes,

Rex

Hi S,

Use whichever site gives you the lowest price.

>(Why do they ask if 2 tickets "are we a couple?)<

So that you will be seated together.

I have used airfrance.com to book flights within France from the US site by using the "Multiple Destinations" feature on the booking page. That allows you to type in airport codes that aren't in the US.

Well Amy? I tried. Still, it will NOT allow me to get the origin of my flight from Marsaille. Paris yes. Melbourne, Aus, yes...Sheesh...
PremFare here I come! <GRIN> What's an hour or two when you're on vacation?

This may not be the problem, but could it be because you're not spelling Marseille correctly ? MARSEILLE not Marsaille.

Interestingly, I just got a mailer from them saying that they're offering a price of 51€ one way - Marseille-Paris.

I have an AF FF account and use that website occasionally, and it was set up in a peculiar manner that you just can't book a flight like that from the US site. The FAQs even say so -- you can only book a flight that starts in the US or in Paris. But Paris is the only possiblity in France.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't book it from the French site, as long as you can read it okay.

LOL.. I was using the airport designation code anyway "mrs"

Yes...I can get the airfrance flights on other sites as well. I just found it interesting that the US site wouldn't let me do my thing...
