Air India

Any comments on Air India? Thinking about utilizing this airline for a flight to Paris.

Yes, you have several nice curry choices, even in economy.

FYI - to find any of your posts/threads, just click on your name. They will all display in the frame to the left (sure beats trying to page down through a couple of hundred threads)

Actually using Internet Explorer's Find (Edit, Find in this Page) facility would have worked as the original was still on the first page of this forum

jdfirst-if you go to the airlinequality.com website, and then choose Air India-here:

www.airlinequality.com/Airlines/AI.htm

you'll get all the info. you want, including pax comments-overall, it gets a 3 star out of 5, however, I think it's just fine, flew them once many years ago, but I do know that they have excellent deals from time to time from the US East Coast to Europe, and I probably will try to book them for my upcoming trip to India in 2007, as they generally have better deals there, naturally enough (although American Air has some great deals to India from time to time, as well).

If you are looking for some good food and free unlimited drinks then go for it. If you are looking for clean and nice aircraft, smiling FA's then forget it. But for the price you pay for Air India I will take it anytime. Since the only thing I do on a flight is to drink, eat and sleep.

I confess that I have only flown Air India on the Chennai (ex-Madras)-Singapore route, but I thought it was excellent.
