I love tea and am looking forward to my upcoming trip to Scotland. Would like to experience some afternoon tea with with some local treats.
So, just wondering, if anyone knows approximately what a mini tea party would cost for maybe 6 people. I am thinking of having a little get together and thought it might be a neat idea if it is affordable.
Of course it will depend as to what all is ordered along with the tea.
So, if we just have some cake/pastry and tea, what is the basic cost in Scotland.

Kathleen, if you find that the V&A tea rooms are too mobbed, as we did, there's the Cafe Vienna across Brompton Road and a little east, where we had tea last year. A couple of blocks further east there's a Patisserie Valerie, part of a chain, also a good place to sip, nibble pastries, and regain strength for the rest of the afternoon.

Thanks. I will check out those additional places--Cafe Vienna, Patisserie Valerie, and Richoux Tearooms. We'll be in Edinburgh after London (and York), so the Patisserie Valerie is a possibility there.

"How about morning tea? A cuppa?"
Billingsgate Fish Market. Any of the stalls or caffs there.
I enjoyed a great mug of dark builders brew, a bacon butty and full English with a fellow Fodorite there when we met in London. Loved it.
