Aer Lingus Boston to Paris via dublin

Aer lingus is running about $300 less per seat Boston to Paris ($800 vs $1100) this coming Fall and Winter. I know it's a connection and I'm OK with tahat. Is there another downside or is this a savings I should grab before it goes away???

Just remember that eastbound you DON't go through any immigration till Paris (so it ought to be a fast connection), but westbound you go through US immigration (and possibly Irish immigration first) at Dublin. So allow lots of time for the westbound connection.

what do you mean, less than what? If it's just less than summer, fares are always lower in winter and in fall, also, at least usually from October and on. The downside is that you may not want to go in the winter, that's all, it's just seasonal supply/demand.

I guess I was not clear. The major carriers are charging over $1100 r/t from BOS and NYC off-season. That's the rub - fares have jumped to crazy levels off-season... and in season it's even higher. Aer Lingus is holding at $800 r/t and we prefer Paris in the cool months. Just not sure if there is some "catch" that I just am not understanding.

Im iss the days, just 10 years ago when we could fly to Paris from Boston for $300 r/t.

FYI - got the r/t for $744 - feels like the best deal there is these days!

I'd grab it! We flew Aer Lingus a couple of years ago and were very happy with them.

FYI -- Keep an eye on IcelandAir. I got roundtrip Boston to Paris for $550 last December. It's worth it to sign up for their emails so you get notified of their sales.

We flew Aer Lingus/United from DC to Madrid for Holy Week last year for $358 each--the flights and service were great. The food was, well, airline food. I did watch 2 academy award movies each way and they never ran out of Bailey's. United handled the marketing and tickets, but it was Aer Lingus tin and crews.
