Advance Purchases on Expedia

Hi.

Has anyone bought advance tickets on Expedia for things in Paris? Is that a good thing to do?

Hotels are fine. If you're talking about boat rides or day tours - DO NOT buy in advance. You want to make those deicisions on the spot when you see how the weather is and what you want to do that day. the concierge or front desk at your hotel will book these on the spot - no problem.

I'm with nytraveler. I did book my hotel through Expedia on one trip and it felt great to leave the hotel with a smile and no issues or hassles. I asked if there was anything else and the respone was that I had fully paid in advance. Very nice. But the rest of my schedule is too dependent on the weather and my level of tiredness to have it written in concrete via Expedia.
Have a nice trip!

I agree with mytraveler. Museum passes, Metro passes, etc. can all be purchased in Paris and usually cheaper. Plus, you do not have to worry about not receiving them in the mail in time or forgetting to pack them.
