Accommodation in Barcelona

Two single guys coming to Barcelona end of September for about a week, first time in Spain and looking for decent accommodations. Ideally looking for a hotel (holiday) apartment for less then 100Euros/night in the Gothic Quarter or near Las Ramblas...any thoughts on good, reliable websites I can go to book this? Or should we stick to a hotel? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Last July I rented a 2 bed aptment in the Barri Gotic, great location, metro stop was Jaume I, 5 mins from Picasso Museum, 5 mins from Cathedral, 10 mins Las Ramblas.

www.barcelonaflat.co.uk
email [email protected].

Can't remember what I paid but it was around 100 euro per night. 2 bedrooms, shower, balcony, kitchen/living room, air-con, quiet location - large fridge. Great tapas bars close by, fully recommended, only problem it's on the 3rd floor and no lift, but you work off some of the calories gained from Creme Catalana which we ate every night without fail!

They have other apartments to rent as well.

A year ago we stayed at Hotel Barcelona House, great location steps from La Rambla, 61 Euro incl. breakfast. Some rooms were better than others, ours was huge, clean etc.
