AC Miramar Barcelona

This new hotel looks great, but has few reports on Tripadvisor.
Also, not knowing Barcelona, I'm uncertain if the location is OK.
We'll be in Barcelona for five nights in July so the pool in the garden and overlooking the port are both appealing!
TIA

this hotel is off the beaten track as are quite a few along that area. the pool will be much appreciated, and offset any 10 min . extra bus ride to any sights.

the beach, OTOH is not far, and it is a new residential area bordering what was the olympic housing.
i have stayed in this area several times and like it if the price is right.

he AC hotel chain is fabulous.

have you seen their website?

free mini bar.. sleek minimalist rooms . i love them.

if you search here i think you will find at least one person who was VERY happy with this recommendation i gave them in a situation similar to yours.

Thanks so much, lincasanova!
I got a rate of 195E which seems very good to me. I love the look of the hotel, just didn't wan to be in the middle of nowhere. Sounds like it's reasonably accessible.

wait a second.. i think this is a new one.. not the one i was talking about.

(the one i was talking about is EAST of the port.. down not far from hotel arts. i will try to get back to you on this.)

if i recall there was a very good bus line near there.
(i prefer the buses anyway) get a 10 ride pass and enjoy the scenery.

cabs are also cheap.

According to their website http://www.hotelacmiramar.com , the hotel is in Montjuic , which is rather near to the city centre. The hotel is brand new, maybe it's that why they don't have many reports on Tripadvisor but it is a 5 stars GL...it can't be bad

OK, now I'm confused!
It looks like a great hotel but just how convenient is it? Walking distance to anything?

i suggest contacting the hotel and asking them if there is a busstop nearby and the frequency of them.

i am almost sure that there is at least one route up there.

the other AC to the east of the port, i think it is AC barcelona, is the one i was talking about.

neither is in the middle of things. and yours is two steps more luxurious.
