A totally self-centered question on Rome apartments.

We're considering these apartments for a June trip to Rome (me, husband, teenage son, possibly a friend). Any thoughts and/or experiences on any of these? Or other suggestions? I'm a bit concerned about lack of AC in two of these, based on our experience in super-hot Italy last summer.

Sere,

Here is a link with a review from Paula on the real rome luce split.

Have not stayed in those two from SII but have used them and very much liked the company - had interest too in the ricci Piazza Navona apartment.

Let us know how it goes and what you decide.

Eileen: Did you end up staying in a Rome apartment that you would recommend? Thanks!

I have booked an apartment twice through www.italian-itineraries.com
and with the first apartment was thrilled.
Even though there was no A/C
But, unfortuantely that apartment is no longer available.

For our last trip, I booked a lovely apartment from them again in Sept. 2002 for use in July 2003.
At thanksgiving I received an e-mail that the apt. owner pulled her place off the rentals , as her son was moving in but she could offer us other choices in the same building.

We took two of the others offered
and planned on combining them into one large apt.
and Barbara(italian itineraries)
did give us a discount for the "inconvenience".
But, it was a good thing we did take two as they were very small! and more like a hotel suite with tiny kitchnette.
This was definitely not what I was looking for.
Even though they were very clean and nice, and the people who maintained the property were helpful.

Tetti di Roma , the original apartment is now on the market again. But, I am thinking that they did some remodeling and made it a bit smaller.
( split into Terrazza di Roma ? )

I would definitely consider using Barbara at Italian Itineraries again, although personally I would look for more of a reassurance this would not occur to me again. and if using that building , make sure all the constructions have been completed.

We did a B&B through Sleep In Italy and I was pleased.
