No idea what you are asking for, two people, 50, what interests? Give us something to work on beyond mid October

I love Koya, Barrafina and the Barbary in London. All casual counter eating but delicious.

Have no idea what all you are asking but here goes:

If you have a booking at the Devonshire why are you thinking of going somewhere else (which 'Smith's' - the Bar & Grill?? ). Arriving at St Pancras at 10AM you have 2 hours to get from the station to your hotel, check in IF your room is ready, leave bag if not, and get to Piccadilly Circus for your 2PM booking. Smith's (assuming you mean Smith's Bar & Grill) would be less 'fiddly' being walking distance from Paddington.

You want to do Kew Gardens after a 2PM lunch in the center of town?? Doesn't make sense to me but its your trip.

Why would Hampstead Heath be hard to get to?? But unless you walk across the Heath then you'd need buses or taxis (I personally never use uber in London so can't help w/ that). The 3 times I've visited Kenwood I've just walked - either from the Spaniards Inn or from Hampstead. For lunch, the Spaniard's Inn is less than a 10 minute walk from Kenwood.

You don't say which exhibition at the National but yes -- do book in advance. Even members who can visit exhibitions for free need to book unless they want long lines and maybe not get in.

If your flight is at 4:15 you'd be better off having lunch at LHR. You'll need to be at the airport by 1:30-ish. The Elizabeth Line is quick from Paddington but even so it does have delays/outages so I'd just plan on heading to LHR early and eating there

If you want something healthy near Paddington, try The Gate Marylebone. Good vegetarian options and not too heavy for lunch.

Thanks. 42 and single.

So I am debating between Smith’s right by Paddington or Devonshire. Both at noon. Figure could get to Kew by around 2 and have about 4-5 hours there which seems doable.

You do mean the Devonshire (in Soho) and not the Devonshire Arms in Kensington -- right? . . . If you have lunch in Soho (or at Smith's in Paddington) public transport from either pub will take almost an hour each way. So just figure that into your plans.

Sorry - yes. In SoHo. Figure 4-5-5 hours at Kew should be sufficient.
