I am topping because i want to know some comments for the hotels that i have selected because all the other hotels that you have suggested(except the sofitels) require a credit card , which we do not have.

It's not the largest room in the bunch, but the Le Faubourg Sofitel Demeure appears to be the most attractive and to possess the most character. Park Hyatt is my favorite brand, but it's so expensive in Paris!

>NO credit card? What's wrong with this picture? How ARE you paying for your hotel and dinners? I am truly interested.<
Many people around the world still use paper money. I know of several countries where credit cards are not widely used.

Yes, most certainly, there are places where credit cards are not used. France doesn't happen to be high on that list, especially for hotels charging 500E/night--I am sure you can see my real question in this. It gets curiouser and curiouser but I think we are at the crux.

I'm not talking about destinations, I'm talking about societies in which the people do not use credit cards. Off the top of my head, I know that a large population of Indonesians and Japanese don't use plastic. Conventional credit cards are also in direct opposition to Islamic tradition. There are Muslim people who work around that but plenty of others who don't use them at all.

I am not sure if it's a troll because Gkap has posted this question on virtualtourist.com. Hotel Vernet was suggested there as well. Seems to be a matter of finding the "perfect hotel" which does not exist unfortunately.

Let's be serious here; it's probably fine to pay cash if you are staying in Mongolia, but any 4 star hotel in Paris would want a credit card number as a guarantee, unless you plan to pay for your room cash in advance.
I'm just glad not to have to run into Gkap at the Lancaster!
